"It's our Anniversary"...by tony, toni, tone

As a mentioned in the previous blog entry...it was a busy Saturday. After CSU Fullerton Arboretum...we headed to Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point for the next appointment. This was my first time shooting and trying to capture the sunset...very difficult stuff but like I like to say “if you don’t do it you’ll never learn”. Bitta and Eric arrived with vino and snacks while the sun was still up. We took some shots in the shaded area which looked amazing. They were professional at taking pictures...so with their expertise and a little direction from me we were good to go. We sipped a little vino while we waited for the sun to set and that also gave us time to catch up. When the sun started to go down we had a very small window to get those “sunset” shots that everyone dreams of. Sunday was all about reviewing photos and choosing the best ones for proofs. While reviewing the photos I realized I was smiling the entire time because the love these two had for each other was infectious. If you don’t believe me come back and check out the photos when they’re posted.

Thanks Bitta and Eric

Saturday started out early...no time for sleeping in. Headed up to the Valley and then back to CSU Fullerton Arboretum to meet Melissa and Vince. Melissa is a good friend from high school that I hadn’t seen in over 10 years...wow that’s a long time. Melissa and her husband are expecting their first baby and it’s a girl. I’m so completely excited for them and I can tell how happy they are to welcome their baby into this world. They were extremely easy to shoot and we had so many laughs along the way including catching up on old times...the session last over two hours and it felt like just a few minutes. Nonetheless, they posed and I got some awesome photos. I have so many good shots it’s making it insanely difficult for me to choose the best of the best for proofs. I’ll keep plugging away...come back soon to check them out=)

Thanks Melissa and Vince...

Quimpos

Busy, busy, busy...I can’t believe how much work it is to be in the photography business “on the side”... If there were more hours in the day it would be no problem. On Saturday I had the privilege of taking pictures of the Quimpo siblings. We started around 11AM at the lovely surroundings of Ladera Ranch...very hot though. Later we moved to a much cooler Laguna Beach where we headed to Heisler Park. The Quimpos were great...they were prepared with wardrobe changes and big smiles. Check out the gallery.

Thanks to the Quimpos for doing this...your place will be filled with Kingston19 Photos=)

Sisterly Love

We headed up to CSU Fullerton’s Arboretum to take headshots for our little celebrities. Yes, the ‘secret celebrity’ as Karah likes to call herself. She’s done some voice work for Disney so watch out Hollywood here come the Innis sisters. They were a little apprehensive to take pictures at first so we had a do a quick rock, paper, scissors to see who would go first. The lucky winner was Hannah and if you ask me...she was happy she lost. Hannah and Karah are naturals in front of the camera and with a little-bitty direction they were stunning. Check out the pictures on the gallery page.

Acroyoga

Alright...so I was presented with a new challenge that would add another dimension to my photography. Cam and Sumie (pictured above) offered to pose for action shots...little did I know it would be such an interesting experience. I was initially shown a sheet of paper with yoga poses I had never seen before. But it wasn’t the yoga that most of us are used to...it was ACROYOGA which is a blend of yoga, thai massage, and acrobatics. As you can imagine, I was up for the challenge immediately because it’s not everyday you get to take these types of shots.

Once we were on the field the girls stretched out and our spotter David, was eagerly reviewing the 10+ pages of newly updated acroyoga poses. From the first pose to the last I was utterly amazed...I think the girls were too. They accomplished 99% of the poses they set out to do and there were some truly dangerous ones. See for yourself.

Thanks to Cam and Sumie...I had a blast!!!

Maternity Shoot

Today was a first for me...maternity pictures. Again, another amazing experience. I was so excited that Eileen (a good friend from high school) gave the thumbs up to do this. When I arrived at the Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA, Eileen’s friends and family were celebrating. The baby shower festivities were in full effect and there was food everywhere...really delicious food. The food was so good I went back for seconds and thirds. I just told myself the plates weren’t big enough...wink wink. After eating we stepped away to take advantage of the beautiful day and surroundings. Eileen and Devon were great...extremely relaxed which made it easy for me to snap away. Looking forward to picking the “5” star photos and awaiting their approval.
