The Graduate

Graduating from high school is great especially when you're moving out of state to go off the college. This young lady is a recent graduate with dreams of becoming a nurse. She's already taken the first steps towards this goal by majoring in nursing at a Florida University. I can't remember the name of the school right now but it's a good one. Her mom is so proud and it's evident that she'll miss her deeply when she's gone off to school. I kept asking her mom..."what are you going to do when she's gone?". The answer was "party like it's 1999" but we all know she's going to miss her baby like crazy!

A teen who calls Laguna Beach, "home"

Laguna Beach, one of the most popular beach locations in California. I'm guessing popularity grew even more after that reality tv show...Laguna Beach. Anyhow, I met up with an aspiring veterinarian who grew up in these parts. You may think that she's like one of those girls in the show however, she's grounded, smart, funny and gorgeous of course. She was so easy to photograph. We talked the entire time about her newly found freedom in driving and her friends...you know, the normal things teens like to talk about. I think that put her at ease and I was able to get some great shots.

Fresh

Starting out in photography exposes you to so much that you've never experienced or maybe you have experienced but not from the same perspective. In this case it was taking photos of a brand new baby girl. She was gorgeous and always hungry it was so cute. She just couldn't get enough milk. I was able to capture a few shots that captured your young essence.

Acroyoga - Take 2

Another "go" at some acrobatic yoga. We took the last shots on the green in Irvine and now we wanted to try some poses/shots at the beach...Laguna Beach that is. The girls were amazing sports because holding some of these poses was no easy task. Although the poses looked extremely acrobatic they were also supposed to give a real good stretch...that's why is called Acroyoga. What a concept=)

Day in the park

Kids are so much fun to work with...like Forrest said "life is box of chocolates...you never know what you're gonna get". Yes, I'm comparing kids to life. Things started out great but don't expect kids to pose for photos when you bring them to the park. I had their attention for about 10 minutes before they headed off to the jungle gym. The awesome thing was that I was able to take some of the best photos when they were playing. After about an hour they were ready to go but somehow I prompted them to start throwing grass...see for yourself. It's all about spontaneity.
